Laneydi Martínez Alfonso holds a PhD in Economics from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 (2015). She previously has done research and taught at the University of Havana. She is union a Negotiator within the Negotiations and Programs Branch at the Public Service Alliance of Canada. She was a Research Officer prior to become a Negotiator. As part of her responsibilities, she is currently the leads negotiator assigned to the bargaining unit of Postdoctoral Fellows at Queen’s University.
Darren Pacione holds a PhD in Legal Studies from Carleton University (2018) where he also taught in the Department of Law. His research focuses on Canadian legal history. He is currently a Research Officer within the Negotiations and Programs Branch at the Public Service Alliance of Canada. Part of his role consist in in analysing market trends in the university sector and developing rationales, including wage proposals, to support bargaining. Part of his responsibilities include the postdoctoral fellows units in Ontario.

Derek Robertson, PhD

Derek Robertson holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Edinburgh University. He is a former Postdoctoral Fellow in Pharmacology at Université de Montréal. He is currently a Research Associate and Lab Manager in the Department of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at the Research Centre of the Sainte-Justine University Hospital where he was involved in the union organizing drive. He is President of his union local at the Research Centre of the Sainte-Justine University Hospital.
